I am a mixed-media artist and aspiring Art Therapist, currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Fine Arts at Monroe Community College. My artistic journey began in high school, where I first discovered the therapeutic power of art as a tool for self-exploration and emotional expression. Over the years, I have expanded my skills in photography, 3D materials, and fine arts, always driven by the desire to use art to connect with and understand emotions. Art therapy has shaped my practice by teaching me that the process of creation is just as meaningful as the final piece, allowing me to embrace experimentation and growth.
In addition to my art, I have gained valuable experience working with children as a substitute teacher and camp counselor. These roles have deepened my passion for helping others, especially young people, and have reinforced my desire to combine my artistic skills with therapeutic practice. I aim to use my art to break societal taboos and open up conversations about difficult and often overlooked emotions.
